Good question. Here's the honest answer.
bigtip.me is a personal tipping platform built around a single, deliberately absurd idea: someone conceived of a concept, built a website from scratch, put it on the internet, and asks visitors to tip them for the creativity and effort of doing so.
That's it. No product. No service promised in return. No cause. No campaign. Just one person, one original idea, and a site that asks a simple question: how much would you tip for this?
Not a charity. There is no registered charitable organisation involved and no charitable purpose.
Not fundraising. There is no project, cause, or goal that funds are being raised for.
Not crowdfunding. No rewards, equity, or deliverables are promised to anyone who tips.
Not a donation. A tip is a voluntary gratuity - the same concept as tipping a street performer,
a barista, or a creator whose work you enjoyed.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Each tip is a one-time, voluntary transaction. There are no subscriptions, no recurring charges, and no refund obligations beyond Stripe's standard policy. All tips go directly to the individual who created this site.
One person. Anonymous by choice - not because there's anything to hide, but because the idea works better that way. If you have questions, concerns, or media enquiries, reach out directly.
